I would like a website, but I will refuse a free one.

I need one that will allow Point of sale purchases like this one: sample site

Where you can list items for sale and have people buy and place orders and such.

That site was built by these people. Shopping Cart Software by Volusion Ecommerce Solutions

Make some enquiries with them.

Also see the layout of say Sherrills, Wesspurs Baileys etc and get an idea of what you want.

After the site is built, up and running you might then want to look at some SEO for it, can help there, even if they remain the builders etc we can send through suggestions/changes. Then there's the offsite SEO to do, can help there to a little.

Search Engine Optimization ... so when some-one Googles stuff that you want to sell/get ranked for you come up.

It's the best way to get web presence, coz the alternative is paid advertising.

How's the weather been treating you? It's been very hot and sticky were I am in Sydney, I havent felt like doing nothing, Thing is though to start compiling your web pages Ekka, needs a little imput from you blokes, I know it's like an asignment but this one has a differance, It will give your business a presence on the net,somewhere to direct your customers to have a preview of your services,and leave good comment on your work, It doesn't have to be an indepth autobiograhpy of your business, Use the KISS method keep it simple, Ekka has a link on the first post with a guide of what he needs to start preparing your Website,So come on you have done the first step..You Won!..So take a little time to put together what you would like the world to see your buisness as.

Hot and sticky? Yer a bastid, lol! I'd love to be hot and sticky right now, I'm freazing my ass off and scrappin together maybe a meal a day over here, and my propane's almost out.

Maybe I need to relocate. Oh, hey, maybe that's why there aren't any climbers within 100 miles....since most of it is an

desert!

No really though, price of gas is killin me out here, just getting to jobs and back, especially when the trucks loaded down with wood. I'm workin my @$$ off right now.

I will, however, try to type something up for it tonight. It's hard to think up a whole page of stuff for my business, when *my* idea of the KISS principle is what's printed on my truck decals.... I do appreciate the offer though so I'll try not to make him wait for it. I'd truly though that people's stuff would already be pourin in on this offer. I hope if the other's aren't too busy they can start sendin stuff in soon too...

Oh yeah, and really a big thanks again to everyone I've been getting advice from. Most non working time is spen't on here and studying new stuff... I've really picked up alot so far

In my experience I can say people do have difficulty writing. Not knowing where to start or end, what to say, how to say it, will it sound right, what if etc etc etc.

Web pages are easily altered, edited, changed etc.

Some-one lands at your web page somehow. Most likely from either clicking on a link or searching something and your page came up.

So, they dont really want to know or care who you are. They want INFORMATION. If they were searching stump removal they'd land there, in the first sentence or two read about how it works, maybe what size machine etc.

So, another example and one I dont do so I'm winging it here. You might have a title Ohio FireWood Cutting and Sales. Notice how many bases I covered with that title?

Now remember, some-one searched, found that, now they want info and when they're sold on that info then they'll call you or email you and it's only then they really give a hoot who you are.

In fact if you Google "ohio firewood sales only a mere 23,000 competing pages so to get a #1 to #5 here would be relatively PISS EASY!

Also, could happen this post gets ranked there now. LOL

So, get writing, focus on information and selling, you are a stranger to that person looking at your site and he's there for what you do not you!
