information required educational re woodwork

Hi all

My son (Christopherr) is just 15 and is really enjoying working with wood at school he especially likes wood turning is there any direction or schools he could turn to catering to this field. Or any books we could get that you know of.

We live in Hervey Bay, Queensland, there does not seem to be much around locally and he only get 1 hour a week at school.
