Hey Ekka:

Good luck on the forum. You may want to work on the logo a bit - you're getting some aliasing around the edges of the lettering.

Is this still going to be geared towards Australian aboriculture?

I think I'll run a comp for a new logo, that's just something I knocked up today.

It's not directly for Aussies at all, however I do hope to see a higher volume of them on here as I can undertake local efforts in advertising the site.

Many Aussies have mentioned their apathy at posting period, so maybe we can get them out of the woodwork. Certainly Aussie home-owners contributions to forums elsewhere has been extremely low. Also dont forget we got a swag of Kiwi's next door and many more.

You all seem very helpful, but maybe I should try and find a UK forum?

If my comments are sounding irrelevant to you I am sorry.

I know there is ????????, I have logged in there, its very intimidating and its very busy and the focus is on north america.
Plus the fact that all of those people are very experienced and discussing things like it looks like a foreign language to me.

This place seemed quieter and more relaxed, like a local pub atmosphere.

Is there a forum in the UK that you know of?
I have searched all over the uk web and can't find any?

How about a pic of all the trophies you must have, will they fit in 1 pic?

What about prizes, you must have a haul of them too.

World's fastest chainsaw, what about Guiness Book of records?

Also, just thinking, do you have any dyno readings of that engines torque and hp on the bench, and same for the Binford?

I can get you pics of the Trophies. Prize money we split up, it is winner take all, usually a $1000 but we have a unwritten rule that the winner splits the money even between each saw. Keeps everybody in the game.

As far as the dyno runs I do have the charts but I keep it secret. I am pretty sure that I am the only saw out there that has been dynoed. I figure if people look up how much HP you can get out of a full race 215 buick they will be close.

Guiness does'nt have a class for chainsaws ???? whats up with that. there will be lots of pics and video comming your way as the season starts in a couple of months.

Good idea splitting the money, even if the winner took all $1000 isn't much considering the travel, parts, time etc but you may have some sponsors too I suppose.

Each guy has to lift around 275lb on the handles right? That's a fair whack, would be many unable to do that right?

The Predator weighs in at 508 lbs. Tough part is lifting it up and over a log that is 4 feet to the top holding it and getting lined up. You can post a few pics or vids of it if you want. As far as sponsors I have a few but no big money stuff. I have a few vids at youtube just search V8 Chainsaw
