Well well well, seems the USA have the same problem.

But over there they go about things a little differently.

Police arrested a Gwinett County man for allegedly bullying an elderly man into paying for unwanted tree-trimming services.

Gerald Jerome Davis, 29, was charged with felony robbery by intimidation and felony elder abuse for forcing an 87-year-old man to pay $3,500 for the unsolicited work, police said.

On March 4, Gwinnett County police spokesman Corp. David Schiralli said Davis and two other men knocked on the door of the victim’s home in the 4700 block of Geneva Drive, unincorporated Lilburn.

When the three men asked the victim whether he needed trees cut down, the man said no, police said.

Still, the men began cutting down trees without the man’s permission, and demanded payment when they were done.

Schiralli said the 87-year-old victim told police called to the scene after the incident “that he felt intimidated and threatened by their presence and had no choice but to pay the money.”

The men also made the elderly man sign a receipt, police said.

Robbery investigators found one suspect -- Davis -- when he attempted to cash the victim’s check.

Police said the victim was able to identify Davis from bank video footage.

Davis is being held without bond in the Gwinnett County Detention Center.

We are in for some rude cultural awakenings!!!
Some students from overseas turned up at a Berry farm in Gippsland wanting to "pick"!
This is a "Pick your own" farm. Hiring to pick had finished.
Fortunately owner clarified situation before they got too busy!
They thought they were doing paid work for the owner.
Whewww. Got to go the extra mile in communicating these days!
