Default Chainsaw vs Boomstick| USA gun wielding woman

In Australia tree workers have had stones and generators thrown at them, and even been bashed by a pregnant woman.

But in America sooner or later you'd be bailed up with a gun, and a woman behind the trigger!

A tree service worker hired by the city of Eden Prairie to remove a diseased tree faced a woman with a shotgun who told him to leave, according to a criminal complaint filed Thursday in Hennepin County District Court.

Kimberly Ann Sisak, 39, was charged with making terroristic threats, a felony. She was released Thursday from the Hennepin County jail after posting bail and is scheduled to be in court Friday, jail records said.

When the worker went to the house on Tuesday, he rang the doorbell twice and got no answer, the complaint said. He went to the back yard to find the tree, which was marked with orange paint, and found that the letters "F U" also written on the tree.

As the worker started to size up the tree, Sisak came out with the shotgun across her body and asked him what he was doing, according to the complaint. When he said he was with the city to remove the tree, she told him to leave and followed him as closely as 15 or 20 feet, it also said.

When police searched Sisak's home they found papers that Sisak owned the shotgun, as well as a letters and notices about the tree, the complaint said. One letter said that if the tree wasn't removed by Jan. 18, the city would hire a contractor to do so.

Man, that is nuts. Anyway, cutting down Elm trees isn't going to stop the Dutch Elm Disease. Wood peckers eat the larva, of the beetle, go from tree to tree, searching for bugs, and larva, in the Elm trees. They go from an infected tree, to a healthy tree.
They spread the undigested larva, or beetles, to another healthier tree, the healthy tree get infected and it then dies off after a certain size. I have some Elm here in my bush, that grow to a certain size, and die off, from the disease.
This has been going on since the 1950's, is when a lot of Dutch families immigrated to North America, and the Dutch Beetle was imported over here, then.
Over here, in a lot of parts in Ontario, we have the Emerald Ash Bore. In a lot of sections of Ontario. They have gone in, and cut down almost every Ash tree, in infected areas, to help stop the spread of the Ash Bore.
That hasn't stopped the spread of the Ash Bore at all, just made a mess of things.
The Ash trees will fall into the same category, eventually, as the Elm tree, get to a certain size, and die off. Bruce.
