G'day all, recently I was made aware of a site in the states that publishes investigations into accidents and near miss in the area of wildfire fire fighting. The intention is to "learn" from failures in proceedures, human error and natural forces and this open and transperent method and in my opinion is an excellent tool. as basic and retarded as that document is... I think that it (the doc.) is a better approach to preventing future incidences, rather than the WA (Australia) approach of creating more and further complicated rules and regulations. Summised: Good idea. |

Whilst I find it simplistic in nature and infomation delivery I think we have to take into consideration that not everyone is a dilegent or up to speed in their industry or with job related risks. To me this is a tool for managment to use to further try and get the messages of RA accross to the numpty's out there. Cheers Tony |
