Man Expected To Make Full Recovery

POSTED: Monday, April 20, 2009

Biondi was on an extension ladder with a chainsaw while Grabinsik was on the ground with a rope to pull the branch in the right direction.

"It cracked horizontally, the end came down and sprung towards the ladder, sweeping him off the ladder," Grabinski said.

Biondi fell 15 feet, breaking his back, collar bone and pelvis. A rib also punctured his lung.

Why wasn't the Ladder tied off, or the Worker tied off with a Safety Belt, and Rope around the Tree. Might have been banged, and scraped up a little, but not in the shape that he is in. Bruce.

Yes but still I'm a Do It Yourselfer, and I always try to take the time to make every situation as safe as possible. I don't like getting hurt, or anyone else either. Bruce.
