Very sad thing to hear about. I watched a few guys doing Carvings at Exhibitions, and the way that they constantly use the tip of their guide bars, makes a person scared to watch, because of the high risk of Kick Back. Bruce

Hmmmm sounds kind of suspicious to me, here we have a man in his late time of his life at 58 years. A deputy has come to serve him legal papers and finds him dead with a slit throat from his carving saw. Lets get things straight here, a dime or quarter tip size carving bar gives out almost no kick back energy especially when a experienced filed 1/4" or low profile 3/8 chain is used. I can also share with you of a time a few years ago where my father inlaw found his neighbor in the middle of the afternoon laying dead on the ground with a slit throat and a butcher knife in his hand. Sad isn't it. |

| haha I don't know if the father inlaw got the story right finding him with the knife in hand, I think if someone slit his throat in suicide his reaction would be to drop the knife and clutch the throat. But who knows how a suicidal thinks and would react. Just a bizarre story just the same, I sure wouldn't want to witness that.
