A man using a chainsaw in a tree in Cambridgeshire was seriously injured when he slipped and cut his chest.

Emergency services were called to Great Abington at about 1100 GMT.

East of England Ambulance Service, East Anglian Air Ambulance and medical charity Magpas treated the man, who is at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

A Magpas spokeswoman said the 30-year-old man was given haemorrhage control and pain relief at the scene and was now in a stable condition in hospital.
