I call this a tree because it is tall, but there is no central trunk all the way up, all the branches connect in a very short trunk at the bottom. In the summer it has smallish ovalish leaves (no picture unfortunately), in the early spring it started out like a pussy willow and opened up into golden-green fussy blossoms that attracted many bees. What is it? Colorado, USA

It is prob a pussy willow. Your 2nd pic shows the flowers. There is prob no apparent trunk because the trunk was cut down, and suckers have grown up. I believe Catholics harvest branches in the spring and use the pussy willows for Palm Sunday to represent resurrection.
