I first thought this tree was a Cherry Blossom, but since it started flowering, I’m not so sure it is, perhaps its a different variety? The flowers come out of a berry like shell, and are very soft (they bruise easy). They almost look coral like. Any help would be awesome! And let me know if there is any more information / pictures I can supply. Thanks in Advance! |

Oh and I should probably add thet flowers started blooming late summer. The tree was a bit damaged soon after we moved in ( we have a puppy who like chewing! and unfortunatly the had a nibble of the trunk) so im not too sure if this is the reqular time, or if it was 'a late bloomer' because it was recovering.

Sure looks like a Crepe Myrtle to me. Quite a few types, some people spell it with an a. Very pretty and popular here. Lagerstroemia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Last edited by Eric Frei; 5th February 2011 at 09:56 AM. Reason: changed link |
