Default Two Winter Trees

My tree identification skills are very bad when Winter rolls around. Here are two species on a lot that I will be helping to organize a community beautification project this coming spring and summer, and it would be nice to know the species that are currently present. But without leaves or fruit I need some help in confirming them. This is located in Upstate NY, USA.

First tree is single trunk, 15-20 ft tall, the bark makes me think locust but i couldn't see any obvious thorns. Pics in album here: http://s73.???????????.com/albums/i2...d/Trees/Large/

Second tree is multi-trunking, large bush-like, and I really don't know what it is at all. Maybe a serviceberry or something similar. Pics in album here: http://s73.???????????.com/albums/i2...d/Trees/Small/

Hi Jay, thanks for the guidance. But unless I am missing something, there are no instructions in that post for the problem I am having with posting links.

perhaps I will try a new post with the pics inline.

You need to load the pictures to this server. Do not link to pictures.

Much thanks for more guidance. I am starting two new posts to separate these two trees and avoid confusion with the attachments.

Single Trunk Winter Tree ID in Upstate NY, USA

Multi-Trunk Winter Tree/Shrub ID in Upstate NY, USA
