I noticed this new tree/shrub growing in a thicket in my yard this Autumn. It's still quite small -- looks like it just got started this year. Berries are white about 1 cm across. Leaves smooth edged, simple, irregularly or partially lobed -- reminds me of a gingko, but I can't identify this as such. Any help out there? Cheers! KC |

Looks like snowberry (Symphorocarpus), although I'm not sure about the bilobed leaves.

Symphoricarpos Albus it is. Thanks Chimera! Looks like it grows in Southwestern US. Must be a recruit to make it up here. Cheers! KC |

I agree with snowberry, and it certainly grows in Southern Ontario., Reasonably popular as a hedge.
