Hi all, ![]() Trying to identify a new found tree that has started to grow in the garden, It looks like a pretty basic tree, shouldn't be too hard, it is hardwood so I think it is a tree not a plant, ![]() Thanks in advance for taking the time to have a look, Paul (MrAcer) Last edited by Eric Frei; 30th June 2010 at 08:18 AM. Fantastic thanks! It's strange because the leaves seem a little different to the one over the fence |

It is likely a Scots Elm. Elms freely hybridize, so slight variations are quite common.
