Default Tree identification ...

Hello, I am new to this forum.

My mother bought me a tree with no tag or label so in a quandary as to the species. Further, not knowing this, I am uncertain to the care of this tree.

I have an idea it is a conifer or uncommon type of evergreen but clueless at this point.

I have included photos to aid in the closure to this dilemma.

Please help,
Dave

Could it be a juvenile Araucaria Hetrophylla (Norfolk Pine)? I dont usually get to see them so small so just guessing but could well be.

Afternoon, tend to agree with Eric; may be either A. heterophylla (Norfolk) or A. columelaris (New Caledonia) both often confused with each other (differing habit/form though). A. bidwilli (Australia) is very similar to A. humstenii (New Guinea). STAV

I would have to agree with Ekka on this one.
