My parents have an interesting tree in their backyard. For years I have admired it, yet never sought to ID it until now. Here's a shot of the whole tree, as best as I could square: ![]() Some close ups of a branch containing some leaves and young flower buds: ![]() ![]() Within days of the initial appearance of buds, they bloom: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Some trunk/bark/branch close-ups: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bark is a bit papery, and the flowers are very fragrant, IMO. (They attract plenty of bumble-bees.) Can anyone help with this ID? |

hahaha I like the pic of that dude's Widow's Peak. Anyway it looks like a Malus (Crabapple). Possibly Malus hupehensis? |
