Hello folks....having trouble IDing this tree in my backyard. I was told it's some kind of olive, but I'm not sure/can't confirm. The longest leaves are approx. 1 3/4" long. I live in Southern California. Thanks

I am not familiar with olive, but the leaves and bark, and growing habit remind me more of a willow (Salix) species.

not an olive, the leaves of the Olive are discolourous, the bottom side of the leaf is whitish, quite distinct from the upper surface.
