Default Tree ID?

I have a sample from a tall tree - maybe 10 metres, with glossy leaves and right now (November, Melbourne Australia) it has lots of sprays of yellow
flowers VERY like jasmine flowers. As the flowers age, they seem to be faading and becoming creamy coloured. I don't know whether or not it's deciduous. Can anyone help?

This is not a reply to Tree Id? It is an added picture to the original post. I just took a pic from the very limp sample I brought home with me. Hope it helps.

Is that a 5 petalled flower? And are there any buds at the branch ends?

Yes, it has five separate little flowerets (which look very like a jasmine floweret). I don't think there are buds at the end of the branch ends but I only saw it at a friend's place yesterday and can't go back and check. It's a long way away. Did you see the pics I sent a little after the original question?

Looks like Hymenosporum flavum, or Native Frangipani

Hymenosporum flavum

A really nice small tree, except it does have a tendency to shed a lot of its leaves during cold/dry/heat.!!

Thankyou, thankyou!! You are very helpful and, having had a look at some, I'm sure you're right. I'm particularly happy because I bought a small one in a tube recently and wasn't too sure what it would look like fully grown. Now I know. It's quite lovely. Thanks again to you and the website.
