Tree with furry cones

Default Tree with furry cones

Can anyone help me identify the tree in my garden in the UK, it has furry cones on it?

Looks like Staghorn Sumac (Rhus typhina). Very nice fall color.
Tends to aggressively sucker and form groups, but still a great plant around here. Not sure about in England.

I agree - Staghorn Sumac. Fruit is edible, high vitamin C, but consuming is time consuming. Generally grows in groups - alleopathic ie secrets compounds to discourage or kill off competition,

Yup i'd third that id Rhus typhina beautiful little tree but very weak rooted can fall over in a medium wind.
