Can anyone help me identify the tree in my garden in the UK, it has furry cones on it? Thanks   |

Looks like Staghorn Sumac (Rhus typhina). Very nice fall color. Tends to aggressively sucker and form groups, but still a great plant around here. Not sure about in England. |

I agree - Staghorn Sumac. Fruit is edible, high vitamin C, but consuming is time consuming. Generally grows in groups - alleopathic ie secrets compounds to discourage or kill off competition,

Yup i'd third that id Rhus typhina beautiful little tree but very weak rooted can fall over in a medium wind.
