Default Tree/Forest ID please!

Hi everyone! Hopefully you can help me out with this. Below is a picture my friend took from his vehicle while driving through a a forest in the United States.

Unfortunately, I cannot contact him for quite some time, because he's going to be camping for a while. So, I was wondering:

These trees seem to be all in the same family. If they are, what is their possible name. Also, where in the US do these kind of trees most commonly grow? More or less, I wish to visit the same forest/same type of forest. I mean, it just looks so beautiful!

Thanks guys

Wow, very hard to tell with the quality of pics. I can tell you it's not in the South Eastern US. They look like they belong in Pacific Northwest or Somewhere close.

It looks like they could be Ponderosa Pines (Pinus Ponderosa) here is a link of another Ponderosa Pine Forest.

Appears to be Loblolly pine (Pinus taeda) not positive from the picture. Very common Eastern US.

They have too much of a reddish bark color to me to be Loblolly.. But of course thats just my opinion...
