Default sugar maple vs black maple

i am new to the study of trees and i wanted to know if their are black maple trees in illinois and if so how can i tell them apartfrom that of a sugar? i have looked at alot of leavs and noted that most have a bit of hair on the underside! i know the basic fact that blacks are more 3 lobed and more pubecent but wen i am out to id them this is a very diffacult thing to notice. if anybody has a few side by side photo shots of the leavs and how the differ please do so!. thanks
