Default shrub ID in Austin, TX

We moved in last summer and our builder already had trees and shrubs planted, but when we got around recently to asking what they are they have no clue.

We have about 5 different specimens I'd like identified and listing them in separate posts:

This shrub has small red berries, so we think its a Holly. The leaf feels very "glossy" and harder. The leaf is 1.75 inches long.

i agree, but the second pic, of the whole bush, looks like Holly,.. The berries should be greenish, or bland, then come fall, to winter, they should turn red. The single leaf is too round to be a holly.... at least in my opinion...
I do NOT have Holly bushes, rather, I have 3 Holly TREES!!! and that is what they do..

I agree. The leaf shown has an entire margin, holly has points along the edge. I am not sure what your shrub is, though it looks familiar, but it is not holly.

Some Holly plants do have smooth margins, however! Eg Ilex cornuta, I. myrtifolia and I. cassine have smooth margins that may occasionally develop a pair of spines. Really need some more info RE flowers and perhaps a shot of the leaf arrangement.
