The first one looks like Tecoma Stans ... a weed! Check your local council etc if it is a weed, it is up here. The other might be Cassia sp but don't hold me to it, there's many types and I see no flower or seed. Maybe if you look through Google pics you'll pick it out if it is. cassia - Google Search

that was quick thanks the first tree is definately Tecoma Stans Second tree I have never seen the second tree flower like the pics on google. My neighbor has the same tree it is about 3 metres tall. they do prune it back every year. Once it loses all of its leaves. |

Yes Yellow Bells (Tecoma Stans), a weed in SEQ Dont think the second is Tipuana tipu if it has spikes on stem. Could be Honey Locust although the leaves look a little more round. Is it Amblygonocarpus andongensis?? Looks similar!! |

I also think it is probably Robinia Psuedoacacia, Golden Honey Locust.

Yep I think you've got it. (Robinia pseudoacacia) Another neighbor has the same tree but it is about 20m tall It looks exactly the same when in flower. Living in Adelaide should I pull these both these types of trees out? & can you suggest anything for my back yard keeping in mind I have a Garden size of 8m by 10m. I only want a tree to grow to about 5m height Thanks to everyone. |
