My wife and I purchased this Magnolia today, but she forgot the name and it is not tagged. There is a blossom just starting in spite of the fact that it is fully leafed out, so I suspect that indicates it is an evergreen variety. That is new territory for me as I have only dealt with Star and Saucer varieties in the United States. ![]() The leaves are a much lighter shade of green than I have seen before, and are longer and more slender. ![]() Any help would be greatly appreciated as we know nothing about this tree except that we like it. ralph |

Thanks Eric, I relayed your "guess" to the wife and she is sure that is what the saleslady told her. Now I have some chance of deciding where to plant it. Ralph |

Great little tree or shrub. Here they grow no larger than about 3m high and wide, does take them a while to get that big but it's worth it.
