Hi Tree World, I live in San Francisco and have fallen in love with a tree up the street from me. I want to ID it so I can research it further, and ideally buy one to plant in my back yard. Can anyone help point me in the right direction. The owners of the tree tell me that if flowers too, maybe once or twice a year. Sorry - no pics of the flowers. Any help would be much appreciated. |

I was going to say Japanese Tree Lilac (Syringa reticulata), but the serrated leaves are throwing me off. I'll keep thinking. |
