Default Needle/Tree Identification

I have a tree in my office that is DYING rapidly, breaks my heart. Its about 7 feet tall, I don't know what it is or how to care for it. I have attached a pic of the needles that are falling off. Any help would be great... thanks!

The picture seems to show the twigs of a Norfolk Island pine. This is a semitropical tree that will not survive the Minnesota winter outdoors. I have to bring mine in every fall, and I live near Philadelphia. I don't know why it is dying, but I water mine about once a week, and keep them near sunny windows. When you get a chance, check the roots. It may be potbound. A bigger pot and new soil might be the answer. That's the opinion of an amateur gardener who has made his share of mistakes.

I have a 6 ft Norfolk Island Pine growing indoors. When it was small it had 2 stems, one died and now its a healthy 1 stem tree.
I find it sheds lower and inside branches periodically, thats just the way conifers grow.
The pot may also be outgrown and may need to be changed for a larger one. Post a photo of your tree so we can have a better look at it.
Willard.

Norfolks need sunlight.

Believe it or not, yes. But mine seem to do well in south or southwest facing windows (northern hemisphere). And in partial shade outside in summer.

BTW, how much cold can they stand? Right now it is 20F or about -6.5C by my calculation. And we have 20 inches of snow and it's still falling. A month ago we had a week or so of much colder temps.

Default Araucaria heterophylla | Norfolk Island Pine Fact Sheet

Well, they come from the pacific region, I cant see them liking cold much, have a look at the attached PDF, look at the shaded areas they like to live, not much of USA in there.
