This is a tree in a forest in Tampa FL near the Hillsborough River. Please help if you can. Thanks!

| Florida Friendly Landscaping, Florida Plants, Florida Gardening, Lawn Care try the tree identification tool they have. if it's native you should be able to find it. i'm looking but don't have much time. |

leaning towards Osmanthus americanus-Wild Olive or Quercus hemisphaerica- darlington oak. only guessing darlington based on the way that cut on the first pic looks. notorious for rotting on large cuts. hope that helps! |

Pics are a little fuzzy and first pic could even be a Quercus Laurefolia, Laurel Oak with some funky, moistened, lichenous bark issues. Laurel Oak is native to FL but if you've work here for any length of time, chances are you've come across them frequently and already ruled it out for one reason or another.
