Default Mystery tree we'd love to plant

These trees (photo attached) was photographed in England. We'd like to ID it to grow one in Canada on the west coast. It's an evergreen and has very interesting multiple vertical trunks with horizontal branches with a slight angle upwards.

We've tried to research high and low on the net and any help is appreciated.

Thank-you,

Greg

I definetly think it's a cedar due to the leaves. Unfortunately I don't have a close up. The closest resemblance I've been able to ID it, is the Lebanese cedar.

Bald Cypress grow in swampy areas right? All the specimens I've seen are on normal ground.

I'll try and hunt for more pictures... they are often found at old estate in England.

Their seeds need moisture to germinate, there are many here that are street trees.

Here's a cropped version of the original photo. I think this should help.

I've convinced it's either a deodar cedar or lebanon cedar. Both are capable of living in the zones in the photo and ours Victoria, BC, Canada. Maybe we'll plant both Thank-you all for your help.

Now to find a retailer...

I thought that Cedrus deodara Deodar Cedar was characterized by a nodding or pendulous leader. Even when rounded by age.

I'm going for Cedar of Lebanon.

Beautiful......

Funny enough, we have a mature Deodora Cedar is our front yard. I can definetly say no to that one.

I'm almost certain now it is a very mature, Cedrus libani var. stenocoma. This variety is sometimes called a Turkish Cedar.

It's been a very interesting search. Thanks for all the help.

i dont think cedrus libani, its most likely a cedrus atlantica or maybe cedrus deodara but i dont think its a deodar either, i think atlas cedar cuz of structural shape and lateral scaffold branch growth/foliage, some close ups of the bark\trunk would help to though, maybe it is a mature lebanese cedar i could be wrong
