Default Mystery Tree in Texas

Hi.
I'm trying to find some leads on what tree I might have seen. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to take pictures of the tree. If I remember the exact location I saw the tree, then I could definitely go back and snap pictures of it.

All I know and remember is that the tree I saw was in Texas. It was either Houston or the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area. It similar to a Norfolk pine in shape and branching, but it only has leaves or needles at the end of the branch like a pom pom shaped tree. It's possible that it was just a Norfolk pine or something similar and someone pruned it to have that pom pom effect. If the tree was in Dallas, I doubt it was a norfolk pine. If it was Houston, possibly.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Any leads

Could be Araucaria cunninghamii (Hoop Pine)... These often have foliage at the ends of the branches... does it look like THIS?

Thanks. That looks so much like it. It's very possible it's the tree I saw.

Interesting. This family of trees has a variety that grows in Sapa Vietnam. I've seen some in Sapa.
