I got a seed pod from Flamingo Gardens in Fl. The seed pod was shaped like a banana pepper, and fleshy inside. I dried the seeds and planted them last year. Here are pics of what came up. Any help in identifying this tree would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I think your tree is a Parmentiera species. Probably P. aculeata syn edulis going by the leaf margins. There are a lot of similar species in this genus so can't be 100% accurate. Cool plant though! http://keys.trin.org.au:8080/key-ser...a_aculeata.htm (scroll down to Parmentiera aculeata on this site) Tropical plant catalog - TopTropicals.com, rare plants for home and garden ***Also, if this is the plant, turns out it is has invaded FNQ.
