I have just moved into a new home in Virginia and there is a tree planted in our front yard that has some blooms on it. I am attaching 2 pictures one of the leafs and one of the bloom to ask if anyone can identify this tree. I hope my pics show up this is my first time to post in this forum. |

| There are a lot of Viburnums -- over 120 varieties. Looks a lot like Viburnum lentago Nannyberry, but it doesn't usually flower in Fall - it has been an odd year for weather in North America - Eastern side at least; if you have had some cold nights -- maybe a month ago, and then warmer weather, the plant might have been fooled into thinking spring is about to start again., See a number of species wondering whether this is spring starting or just really warm fall weather,

Viburnums have opposite leaves and these look alternate. I agree the weather tricked it into blooming late. The flowers look like something in the rose family, probably either a none native crab-apple or more likely a flowering cherry considering the location.
