Friend of mine and I have little contests - whilst out and about we send each other pictures of trees and plants that either we do not know the name of or think the other may not be able to identify as a test Yeah I know - yawn He is a very knowledgable horticulturist and of course I know nuffing He was in Hawthorn Melbourne and sent me this photo of this flowering tree he took on his silly little iphone and of course did not have the brains to get a close up Anyway we both do not know what this is - does anyone? |

A good question, thought twas Garrya species but nay the leaves seem nqr nor the flower. hmm thou be intrested in the result.

RE discrepancies in fruit hue; when the fruits are young they are that greenish colour, they go dry and 'pinkish' as they age. It's funny how involved you can become if you're interested in your job. I take thousands of photos of trees and plants while cruising around. In fact, my whole life is easily summed up by these little guys: ![]() |
