Mm. Looks very similar from the pictures provided. Can't be sure though. I recommend you send samples to the Herbarium before chop..

I'm not sold on mannifera, the caps do not look right. mannifera fruit is more conical and those are more cylindrical. mannifera fruit valves are slightly exserted and those are strongly exserted like saligna.

I am 55 – when I was 20 my father and I set up a nursery and garden supplies business We sold nicholii, ciriodora, maculata, mannifera, botryoides, globulus, etc etc – lots of common varieties suitable to Melbourne This property is like revisiting my youth except the trees are mature When I saw you suggested saligna – of course we sold them too – interesting experience this Will look into it and get Euclid going to check Thanks mate Last edited by Darrell Mcleod; 22nd January 2011 at 08:46 AM. Driving along this morning going home after supervising a crew of landscapers - ggrrrr - should be home building my retaining wall Saw this and thought mmmmmm Could it be Eucalyptus salinga also |
