Question ID on tree, no flowers or fruit

Hi,

there is this tree in my backyard that has been growing there for about 12 to 18 months now. Ide like to plant some more fo the same tree but the problem is it has no flowers or fruit. I could just cut one of the branche off and plant that, but i wanted to research growing conditions and stuff.

At the moment the tree is around 4 meters high. The leaves are dark green on top and very pale green underneath. instead of branches it has stalks, kind of, that fall of with the leaves. the leaves are about 45 to 50cm long and 25cm wide. the trunk of the tree is around 10cm thick in diameter and only slightly wider at the bottom. the trunk has a smooth green surface with markings where previous stalks have dropped off. Near the bottom of the tree the trunk is more brown and rough. the area of the garden where it is growing is where we used to chuck fruit and vegetable scraps until we got a compost bin.

Blush macaranga - fantastic native tree, brilliant shade tree, super fast, super tough. You can cut them hard and they love it (I have one I let grow for shade over bedroom window in summer then hack back for winter - it booms)
Native birds love them. One of the first native species to recolonise a
de-nuded area of land.
