Default ID this red flowering shrub

Here's a hardy battler.

This shrub is around 7 years old, never been pruned or watered.

Looks great in flower, nice form, might be a good one to see more often. I cant put a name to it, not a calliandra.

Maybe, but the leaves seem different, glossy green with really pronounced drip tip. Metrosideros are more leathery and grayish/silvery.

I would say a "Pohutokawa" or from the Metrosideros family.

The Kiwi members should be able to help.

its found along aotearoa, nz, seaside towns .1 of the oldest species of pohutakawa trees is found in my home town of napier,on the east coast north island, approx one of the largest in nz,at 250plus years old, my kaumatuas =elders yous to say when the pohutakawa flowers are in bloom then it is diving time kaimoana=seafood is fat and ready for the pickin. we the maori people look at this tree as a sign of good harvest.hope this helps .

I would agree with sylvatica. but then im not a native aussie
looks just like a Callistemon Citrinius 'Splendens' thats the Northern hemisphere genus name. ive planted a few for customers in the past a hardy little plant loves full sun, do the leaves smell slightly of lemon if so i would have said it was.

I think it could be a New Zealand southern rata, they look the native Pohutokawa but the pohut. flower is a redish colour as the rata flower is a orange colour like the one in the photos

yes i thought so to at first but the flowers seem too long for the Rata (metrosideros) hence the callistemon idea.

I agree with Jungles. It looks like Metrosideros vitiensis 'Fiji Fire'.
