Default Hi! anyone know what this fella in my yard is?

I've been searching the web for a while now, all to no avail! So I was hoping someone here may be in the know... I live in Brisbane, Australia, and I think(no expert) it is asian.

It lost all of it's leaves by mid winter, and briefly put out small off-white flowers in spring.

Leaves: The leaves are a dark red and ovate with no stipules. The edges are smooth and veins are reticulate, averaging 4 to 6 cm long. They grow in 3's opposite one another, but are quite happy to just drop off leaving only one or two.

Flowers: All of the flowers were situated where the new growth of the foliage should be; after polination, the the seeds are situated in triplets extended beyond the stigma of the carpel.

The bark is light brown with a sheen and smooth.

Here are some pics, and thanks in advance!

ooohhh that fella looks like Euphorbia cotinifolia.. Hard to ID 100% as the flowers are a bit blurry... But that looks a lot like it. Nice plant!
