Default Help with this tree

Hi, can you tell me what this tree is?

The bark at the bottom about 8 feet of the tree looks like this picture, but after that it starts rapidly thinning out and is almost smooth from then on. It looks more like a birch would look, but I don't think it is. As you can see, the bark is 'stacked' looking.

The leaves are alternated on each side of the stem and there is a leaf at the very end of the stem. There are also small black berry looking seeds that are very hard.

It is a hackberry, Celtis L., most likely sugarberry, C. laevigata Willd., since that is the one of 6 species in Texas with the most county records near you.

I would guess 'Quercus suber.
