Help identifying central Texas tree

This tree is located in Gruene (central), Texas. I'm not sure if its native or not. The photo is not great, just taken from my phone. Thanks for your help, it was just a very interesting tree which had limbs that would be fun climbing for a child and I really liked the look. Thanks again!

Outside of my area of expertise, but perhaps a Live oak (Quercus virginiana)?
