Default Help ID this tree in San Bernardino, CA!

This one has me completely stumped! I've searched the 'net - can't find it anywhere! The bark looks bumpy / spikey. It blooms from about May thru September - dropping its blooms and leaves rapidly now. I haven't noticed a scent.
