Default Having trouble identifying this tree...

Okay, I'm totally lost. At first I thought it was some sort of willow, research took me to dogwoods for the white edges and then to locusts for the leaf patterning... I really have no idea. I live in Alabama but who knows if this tree is natural to here or if the previous owners of the house planted it here. I can tell you that it was in full leaf when I came to this house at the beginning of March. Please help! I have been digging for an hour now and can't seem to successfully identify this beautiful tree outside of my front window.

Thanks all
Sary

Might be variegated privet, maybe a weeping form.

I posted this yesterday but it doesn't seem to have worked:
I see how a privet makes sense, when I started looking at pictures I thought for sure this was my answer. The only thing is that the tree is about 30 feet tall, by no means a shrub, and certainly not 10 feet like they say the max is for a privet.
Any other ideas?

Privet can reach 20 to 25 feet if you let it. The leaves look more like a variety of euonymus (evergreen foliage). Would be easier to identify if the first pic was the right way around,

Going by the rounded tips, leaf arrangement and weeping form, it looks a lot like Azara microphylla 'Variegata'. Maybe? Any hint of a flower or fruit about?

ALSO, it is hard to see in the picture but there looks like the typical stipules forming at the bases of the leaves. Can't make it out!

The more I look at this thing the more is looks like a variegated privet, so I reckon everyone here is onto something. It's one hell of a weeper if it is!
