Default GhoSt's Tree Identification

Hey guys,

Glad to be a part of this community. I've been searching for a while but I can't seem to find out what this tree is. Its located in Austin, TX.

Let me know if you need any more info if the pictures are not enough or need me to take more pics.

Thanks in advance

Jesse

Didn't know I couldn't edit.

Just measured one of the fruit/berry. I am not sure if they change color as the seasons progress since its been the first time I pay attention to this tree. As a matter a fact first I pay attention to any tree lol

My dad has been curing himself and us for the past 10 years with plants and just recently, I have gain an interest on wild plants and trees.

Anyways, the berry measured ~.45in (11.40mm)

Leafs are pretty big around ~2.5in (64mm) wide as same as long. (Some of them are bigger) And is heart shaped. With very fine jagged edges to the point the they almost look smooth. And many veins on the leaf.

I'd bet it's a Callery/Bradford Pear, or at least something in the Pyrus genus.

I agree. Bradford pear is most likely. Cut open the fruit - not usually edible (too hard) and look at the seeds and the structure holding the seeds. That should help with identification.
