Cool Flowering Tree with Balloon-like Seed Pods

I need to identify a tree that hangs over my fence from the neighbours yard. It has small yellow sprig-like flowers in Autumn. These turn into salmony pink coloured three sided balloon-like seed pods which contain small black shiny berry/seeds. It is a deciduous tree and very messy.

I'll try to attach some images but as it is mid winter here (Mid North Coast, NSW, Australia) so I don't know if they will be of much help. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the tree in full bloom. It is quite spectacular but not so much on a small suburban block LOL!

I need to find out if the seeds will be detrimental to the health of some laying hens that I was wanting to put in a run beneath the tree.

Thanks!
The tree in question

Thank you.

I am not sure what your tree is, but it is SURELY NOT a golden chain tree! I was also confused about the two different looking types of leaf samples...?

Definitely NOT a golden chain, 'less y'all grow 'em different Down Under...LOL!

The golden chain tree is a lot different to the golden rain tree though.

The golden chain tree is beautiful, I had a google, I've never seen a real one though. I wish I could.

You're right! I didn't believe you so I went agoogling!

I don't think I would bother with it, what if someone asked you what the name of it was, I'd have to make something up I think.

My Mother has one in her garden. It's magnificent, without fail, every year. Has a great leaning habit too since a storm knocked it over 10 yrs ago!
