Here are photos of Eucalyptus tereticornis. Forest Red Gum, this particular tree is a remant tree of the cumberland plains in Sydneys west. When you consider this tree would have a big portion of it's roots hacked off during construction of Richmond Rd Blacktown it's a real survivor ![]() ![]() ![]()

Now cop a load of the difference in leaves compared to Jayd's tree. Also interesting to note the tereticornis var But Jay'd hasn't provided a mature seed cap. scout out the dirt around the base of the tree.JayD's dried leaves of his tereticornis ![]() Eric's tereticornis leaves from this thread ![]() So you can all see the variance, this is why with eucs you really need that seed cap. My tereticornis is apparently Eucalyptus tereticornis var. latifolia and derwoodii is talking about yet another called Eucalyptus tereticornis var mediana And if you click this link you'll discover a lot more "vars" Dang eucs!

Well, they're not open but looks like tereticornis. The lack of images on the tereticornis "vars" is going to make it real hard eh.
