Default Can someone identify these two trees, please?

Hi everyone, I was walking in a forest in Kansas City, MO over the weekend and came across two trees I'm not familiar with. They are really unique looking. Can anyone tell me what they are? Thanks!

For whatever reason the forum doesn't seem to like the link I used for the pictures..so I had to attach them instead.

No, for whatever reason you failed to read your PM, email and other instructions provided stating the facts of presenting pictures here.

Yep, always helps to read the manual

The first one looks like the dead flowers of Magnolia wilsonii, and the second one looks like Aesculus glabra.

The single flower is a pawpaw, Asimina triloba (L.) Dunal, while the inflorescence with the bee has been identified as an Ohio buckeye, Aesculus glabra L., since this fits best with the range of buckeye species.

Asimina triloba it is! Nice one.

It is an interesting colour, nothing like I've ever seen before. Wonder if I could grow him in Sydney?
