|  Can someone identify these two trees, please?
Hi everyone, I was walking in a forest in Kansas City, MO over the weekend and came across two trees I'm not familiar with. They are really unique looking. Can anyone tell me what they are? Thanks!   |

Yep, always helps to read the manual  The first one looks like the dead flowers of Magnolia wilsonii, and the second one looks like Aesculus glabra. |

The single flower is a pawpaw, Asimina triloba (L.) Dunal, while the inflorescence with the bee has been identified as an Ohio buckeye, Aesculus glabra L., since this fits best with the range of buckeye species.
