Default Can Someone Help a Newbie Identify this? (Tree 2)

As I explained in the other thread, my family and I have been trying to identify all the trees on our farm in Eastern Kentucky and there are two we cannot seem to 100% determine. I imagine they will be easy for many here, so I figured I would try to see if someone could help us. This tree was eaten badly by catapillars or something this spring, it is just now getting leaves... thanks anyone who can offer some help identifying!

Probably black cherry, Prunus serotina Ehrh., which can be confirmed by looking for orange fuzz along the mid-vein of the underside of the leaf. Otherwise it is something else in the same genus. They typically get tent caterpillars every spring.

There are/were tons of those "tents" in all of those tree. If these are black cherry, I will have to keep an eye out in late summer/fall for the fruit.

Prunus serotina is quite likely. THe cherries are essentially inedible -- very small with big pits relative to the flesh

But possibly a good fruit for wine, no?

Not being a wine fan, couldn't say -- but I thought wine worked best with lots of fleshy fruit - and Black Cherry hasn't got much flesh plus the birds and squirrels usually get all the "fruit"
