This tree/bush thing is growing next to my shed. I just noticed that it now has these small, hard green berry-like Fruit or nuts(?) growing on it too. No idea what it is...any help would be great. Thanks!

As Maple indicated, plum is susceptible to Black Knot, blackish turd like growths on the branches, that need to be removed if the tree is to have a chance at survival. When the fruit turns colour - likely dark purple, cut a fruit open -- highly edible -- and see if has a pit that resembles an almond. The seed will be inside the pit. A pit like this qualifies it as stone fruit. | |

Great reference Ekka! Where did you find that clear and specific info, and does the site have more references for other diseases?
