Hi guys, could anyone help me ID this tree? I only have a pic of the bark, leaves & timber. The inner bark peels off in long strips much like teatree, revealing a very smooth surface and colours reminiscent of Crepe Myrtle. The timber is quite heavy and hard. I hope this is enough for you to give me some ideas |

Does cotoneaster get that large in Oz? HEre it gets no larger than a modest shrub.

| They sure do!!! Damn weed. There are some whopper specimens in some of our older, leafier suburbs and on neglected bush blocks. Probably from some bozos back in the day 'training' them to a single trunk... hahaha!!!
