Hi, I am totally new in gardening. We have 26 Camperdown Elms that were planted 2 years ago. A person (gardener) said to me that because of the graft was done so close to the ground the trees won't be really tall. The graft is about 2/3 inches above ground, Is he right? we want to train the trees in order to create a tunnel. I called the company that sold the trees to my boss, but they do not have any information about the kind of grafting that was done on the trees. Is there any kind of dwarf Camperdown Elm? or my friend is wrong. thanks Marcos |

Have seen one on East coast Scotland, which was approx 15ft. Growth habit creates layers on a pretty much flat headed tree, ideal i would have thought for pruning tunnel through. They are relativley small trees. Thats all i know justnow about this cultivar. |
