I don't necessarily need to identify the tree, or I would provide more pictures - I just have a very simple question: Is it possible for Trident Maples to have 5-noded leaves? I thought I was looking at a trident maple at first, and then I realized it had both 3 and 5 node leaves. Could it be a hybrid? (pictures below) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

oh, wait - nevermind - I just did some searching and understand now that there are a number of acer species that can have both three- and five-lobed leaves.
