| You'll save fuel because you are cutting so much faster and that will mean less noise too! ![]() Seriously, I had a modded saw, muffler job etc and it was slightly louder but not that much nor distinctively much. On the fuel side of things I didn't really notice a difference either. Also, Scott. Which way does that tube point ... away from the bar? As currently when you are cutting stumps low and on some trees it gets pretty bad blowing dirt and crap onto the saw chain. On paperbarks I've set them on fire with the hot exhaust blasting at the bark. Looks like here the tube is pointed away from the cut or when lying the saw on it's side for a finishing stump cut blowing away from the "action area". Just need Scott to confirm that ... then again he could point that tube where-ever I suppose as they are custom made.

| The new piped port gives the saw a nice deep throaty note, Yes it is louder. And of course with more power comes slightly higher fuel consumption, but also more lubrication and lower operating temperatures. Quote:
As you hold the saw in front of you in bucking position, the hot gas exits to the left and forward of the handle. Yes, I could pipe the exhaust any way you like, and I could also lengthen the pipe and run a support to another part of the saw to protect the cylinder from stress.
